About Me

Hi! My name is CJ and I am participating in MedEx Tier II this summer! I am a free-ish spirit who loves anything to do with music, performing arts, and the greater good. I play guitar, baritone ukulele, and piano. Music is what calms me down no matter what and I love to just sit with my guitar in my lap or with my hands on piano keys and play whatever my heart desires. I am a nursing major at Lander University and am an RA on campus.

In 2020 I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. I was rushed to the hospital and spent days in the ICU. I was terrified, but my nurses would always come in with a smile. They took the time to talk to me and joke around with me. They made this scary time a little bit easier. I still remember the names of each nurse that cared for me during that time. That is why I am in nursing school. I want to help others, just like they helped me. I want to be the smile that makes someone's scary times a little bit better.
