Day 19 - Professionals

This morning, we had the last two groups present their Great Collaborator project. I really enjoyed their topics. It took a lot of thinking to come up with their policies. They did an amazing job. There is no perfect solution to any of these issues, but I believe that the advance directives policy was pretty close. Their idea to create a separate section in advance directives to specify wishes during pregnancy is spectacular. They put plenty of expectations and regulations on when to administer "life-support" on a pregnant woman. It seems like they did a lot of research and I would like to commend them for how well they presented it all. They worked together so well. I believe I can learn a lot from the way they worked together and the way they developed their policy. I took note of what things they seemed to research to contribute to their ideas and how they grew a policy out of research and compromise. This collaboration project taught me a lot. It taught me about how to work as a team and how to research both sides of an argument. It is important to understand your topic from every angle. You can never truly fight for your side unless you know every side of the argument.

This afternoon we played "Interview Roulette". We would get questions on the spot, just like in an interview. It was actually lots of fun. Our interns gave us critiques to help us learn how to better answer these common interview questions. It was very helpful. They were able to show us how to incorporate qualities and experiences into our answers and how to expand on parts of our resume, not just state aspects of the resume. I learned a lot from it It will definitely help in the future when I have interviews. I learned a great deal from my interns' advice.
