Day 22 & 23

Writer's picture: CJ DossCJ Doss

The last two days of MedEx have been both amazing and hard. We started Wednesday by presenting out "Teach us Something" presentations. I kind of wish we had been able to do these near the beginning of the tier because it was really cool to see everyone's different interests. I learned that some people have some of the same interests as me. I learned about different languages, cultures, and stories. It was so much fun and we all laughed and asked questions and were just plain joyful. I presented on my random passion for the Tudor Era. Some of my favorite presentations included NASCAR, heavy metal, and the Northern Lights. It was a lot of fun to get to share my interest with my tier mates and it was even more fun to hear about theirs.

Wednesday afternoon we had field day. It was desperately hot outside, but we still had lots of fun. In Tier I, I was nervous to participate. I'm not very athletic but I enjoy playing. I felt more comfortable this year. I got out there and participated in everything. And I had an amazing time. I loved playing kickball, and found out I wasn't too bad after all. I got to laugh and joke around with my tier mates and simply have a great time.

Thursday was our final day at MedEx for this tier. It was hard, but I am very proud of our accomplishments. Graduation was amazing, but it is hard to say goodbye to my tier mates. It was an amazing summer and I learned more than I ever thought I could. I had an amazing time this summer and I learned so much. I am moving forward in my journey and I can't wait to use my MedEx experiences to grow, both in my career and as a person. MedEx has been an amazing experience. I am so appreciative for the things it has taught me and the friends I have made throughout it. I will miss walking into those classrooms each day and getting to share experiences with amazing people. It has been an amazing summer.
